General

  1. 2022

Learn Stenography. [Didn't have a good time dedicated to practicing stenography. Routinely practiced at night, but it would make it hard to sleep.]

  2. 2022

Twilight Tactics: A browser social deduction and negotiation game based on an unreleased game "Tank Tactics". [Lost interest and motivation after beginning to work a full-time job in a different programming language and framework.]

  3. 2021

Study Chinese: Daily study of grammar, vocabulary, and attempted to read the Three Body Problem. [Didn't keep a structure because I didn't know where to slot it into my day. Also the vocabulary was too easy and was review, while the Three Body Problem was fiendishly difficult.]

  4. 2021

Venn: A social media app that connected you to people that you have mutual friends with. [Blocked by social media API access and the idea was honestly terrible. Pretty much finished it but the UI was awful.]

  5. 2021

Troy School District Math Curriculum: Create a new math curriculum to pilot in the Troy School District based on mathematical discovery rather than rote memorization and rules. [I only did it as a favor for a person who ended up telling me to go fuck myself, so I'm not involved anymore.]

  6. 2019

DotA: Become 7K MMR and then make content within 1.5 years. [Made 6.5K in 1.5 years but felt the game depressing me and felt that it wasn't good for me, nor worth my time.]

  7. 2019

Texas: I moved across the country partially because I got a new job there and I was romantically interested in someone I knew that lived there. [We ended up having a toxic relationship, I was fired from my job, and I made almost no friends due to COVID.]

  8. 2018

Ghost Everyone: I had plans to ghost everyone while secretly moving to Massachusetts and starting a new life, only to come back many years later when I had grown up and changed for the better. [I was incredibly lonely and became depressed. The job I left for, despite being for a prestigious company, was awful and taught me nothing. My identity and location was revealed to people I knew when I attempted to go "incognito" to Melee tournaments.]

  9. 2018

Michigan Melee: I was heavily involved in the Michigan Melee community and became a prolific tournament organizer and community leader. [I was banned for saying something cruel to a girl online that hit a national spotlight. I was unapologetic and retaliatory and was subsequently ejected from the scene.

  10. 2013

Retake the AP US History Exam Senior Year: I got a 3 the first time and figured getting a 5 would be easier if I actually studied the second time around. [I didn't study any harder and got a 3 (again).]

  11. 2010

Generica: A generic 8-bit RPG made in Java. [Didn't use a game engine and didn't get past making a grid because the work was so monumental.]
